My name is Charlotta Kratz. I was born and raised in Sweden, and I have lived in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1995.
From 1988-1995 I worked in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at Göteborg University, Göteborg, Sweden.
Since 1999 I have taught in Departments of Communication at universities in California: Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, San Jose State University in San Jose, and California State University, East Bay in Hayward. I teach in the areas of media and cultural studies, communication research and theory, and intercultural communication.
I like teaching, and I like students. Learning about the lives of young Americans, and about the diverse area in which we live, has been very rewarding to me.
I am also a freelance writer, photographer, translator, and cross cultural trainer. At the bottom of this page there are links for some of my texts and photos.
